A Famous Person: Santos-Dumont

Alberto Santos-Dumont made the public flight of an airplane in Europe on October 23, 1906. He flew boarding of the 14 Bis to a height of 2 to 3 meters of the ground and distance of 60 meters. He was born on July 20, 1873 and died on July 23, 1932 in Brazil. Heir of a prosperous coffee producer family, Santos-dumont dedicated himself to science studies in Paris. Santos-Dumont is considered the "Father of Aviation" in Brazil, his coutry of birth.
